BAMBUTEC is system technology. Simple principles are combined in such a way so that complex structures can be produced with little effort. By intelligently using the geometry and physics of the raw materials their positive properties show to advantage.
We achieve this through milling a fit at both ends of the rods and in their counterparts, the connecting joints. The ends of the rods are thereby centrally fixed in the BAMBUTEC machine and milled simultaneously. The milling is absolutely axial symmetric and independent form curvatures as well as deviations of the raw material.
This simple procedure is the result of complex thoughts with clear goals. It is by no means a coincidence why the machine effort, the simplicity of the connection and the resulting effort in assembling is so low.
The properties of bamboo bear certain special features, for example the axial fiber structure. This results in a extremly high tensile strength, on the other hand, this eliminates the possibility of fitting screws or nails since it would damage the stability. Another issue is the life-span of bamboo structures.
